Laserlipolisis – New Technology for Fat Removal

Two new technologies were unveiled at The Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery Annual Conference in Adelaide on April 27-30, including SMARTLIPO, a ND:YAG laser system which is used to perform LASERLIPOLISIS, a laser-assisted liposculpture treatment. The main advantages claimed are reduced trauma and more rapid recovery. Fat cells are broken down into liquid fat which can be left for the body to eliminate naturally. This procedure is ideal for small areas of accumulated fat that have not responded to diet and exercise. Larger areas, like large abdomens, may require several procedures to achieve a desirable result. This procedure is now available at The Ashbrooke Surry Hills and Miranda.
